this is of course just an avenue for some ridiculous venting. though it would seem to me that things are slipping further away, i have to admit they have always felt like that. with my next slice of free, private time, i plan to dig through old writings (sorta like these) and test this timeless theory: that the more things change the more they goshdamn don't.

i'm happy to be going back to work soon, as disjointed as my disjointed field is. i recently read "how the american healthcare system killed my father", which is a great article that challenges my unoriginal leftiness without prompting me to brand its' perspective as unoriginally righty... but it did damper my pretend optimism that there may be a solution to the limitless problem of national-health-and-wellness-is-screwed.
